IMPRINT

Do you find my demeanor way too much demeaning?
Am I a symbol of something with a much deeper meaning?

When they ask for a hug, do you give them a shove?
Are you asking for too much, when all you want is love?

Do you bury your head in a pillow to cry?
Do you find yourself thinking of different ways to die?

Is there a space in your shell so heavy it's a weight?
Has the love in your life evolved into hate?

These questions are leaving an imprint so deep
Answer them quickly so you will see:

Life isn't easy, nor is it fair
Death isn't the answer, nor is it rare

Are you asking for too much, when all you want is love?

Well, theres a question people must ask plenty in life! When the shoulders you cry on turn cold you have a hundred of these questions and nobody ever answers them.

Gave me a little shudder reading it, very good!

I like this with reservations...the first line is very weak...the poem needs major work imo.

Show me someone who likes to play with words, to balance the sounds of them, the rhythms, the background implications of the way they interact. I'll show you a poet. Here's one now!

Questions we have all pondered, but rarely stated.  Very good.

Wow, I didn't expect to get this much positive feedback! Thank you very much. I always thought that this poem needed a little work. Thanks again, it's such a reward to get such feedback!
