Some Fishing

I feel I fish for non-exist
Phantoms of a mind in mist
Daydreams of a hearts impale
Sails of symbols that prevail

In horizons edgeless wile
Factoring an enzymes style
Searching through the past of seem
The hook is baited with a dream

The line is slack the fish are weary
The night is dark and time is dreary
I lean against the rail in search
Waiting for a simple lurch

The fishing is much poorer now
Perhaps it is my age somehow
Or perhaps I’ve lost the power
Not exactly new this flower

Yet where there’s life there is hope
I think I felt a subtle grope

Forget the worms...I'm coming with grandma's infamous "Stinkbait and Wheatie balls".
If they dont bite on that..they aint got teeth. LOL

I'll even bait your hook.

one thing about fishing,,,,,it brings young and older together in thought,,,,as a child you pity the fish, and when we you get older you feel a sympathy,,,in between, its every man (fish) for himself,,,,alot like life,,,

I've never been one for fishing Sy..
until the last couple of years when a good friend
taught me how to bass fish...and now I love it!
Wonderful to awaken to your words!

Seymour, I haven't been fishing since I was a child, and as I recall, it was my lack of patience that kept me from enjoying the sport.  Unfortunately, I am the same as I ever was...settling for frozen fish sticks.

A wonderful write.

All anglers live for that subtle grope, Sy.  Keeping your hook in the water is the key.

believe in what your heart feels...

Seymour, somehow I don't think you would have any trouble doing whatever you desire to do....fishing included. It is fun to fish, isn't it?
