Some people are afraid of silence
of stillness
of that echo when all else is one and the same
And nothing at all

Some people are dying to live
Living for days yet to come
Dying for the next embrace
Sometimes for nothing at all

When you look close enough
You realize that
Life and death is one and the same
And nothing at all

misanth,

I hope you don't mind my shortening your name--I have a feeling I'll be responding to many of yours...  You really show depth in your thoughts and writing.   This one I found most interesting because I have always wondered why the greatest thing my daughter fears is silence.   This gave me some new perspective on that
