As much as I would like to please
a greater force commands don't appease
its a drive for greater respect of oneself
one still stacked on my personality shelf.

Drop polite words when they can't he heard
by people whose accusations are absurd
for one who projects a sense of insecurity
cannot see that wills are set to be challenged
cannot fathom another's self-respect
but refers to times when he wept
for lack of a tender approach,
whose personal space is difficult to encroach
full of conflict and a duality of natures
but aware that time will avow him stature...
clumsy at the approach of how to tempt
vicious as insecurity reveals contempt
projected on he who needs no pleasureable company
when that company seeks to espouse pleasure in absolute vain
cannot hide a selfish will, deceit is difficult to contain

As much as I look to appease
am leary of the need to please
so commands my second self..
better to think more of respectful measures
than on one who insists on self-centered pleasures.
