The sap does seep all over the floor,
so it’s time for the tree to go out the door.

New year’s ‘round the corner just a few hours away.
I’m in a reflective mood, not unusual for this day.

As I look back upon these passionate pages of blue,
I can’t seem to recall who wrote some posts I see.
Some have my name attached, but seem alien to me.
Perhaps they were really reflections of you?

My muse was busy off and on, and when she was off
she was usually too high on nature
or too low on humanity.
Often, the words just vanished
into the thin high altitude Denver air.

But next year I’ll be under different skies,
by water’s edge under coastal mountains high,
where the breath of the ocean mist
might make my thoughts appear kissed
by the benevolent healing power
of mother nature’s greatest gifts.

*******
Happy New Year to all of you!
I couldn't have made it through this year
without you!

I don't even want to think
what this last year would have been like
without you!
Travel safe and hurry back to us, Kacy!

Rats - I thought this was going to be a poem about Toerag and Balladeer!  It was good anyway, but not what I expected.

Midnitesun,

I read in one of your responses that you'll be checking out of this scene in mid-Feb.  (I hope that you return to the net-I enjoy your poetry!  Selfish reason, eh?)
Whatever you do, the best to you!

I will be anxious to see the influence of this change in your writing -- which I always always enjoy!  lol.......jo
