I will admit I was there, suffering through my plight,
After having eaten all that horseradish on that fateful night.
However, the pain was nothing compared to what ensued,
As I sat there in my misery over the meal I learned to rue.

The man in the other stall must have thought he was Casanova,
Calling his secret lover while on the toilet one stall over.
I'm not surprised he made his call while sequestered over there,
But think of from where you hear him, when you're called by Balladeer.

'Deer was smoother than the greatest lover I ever knew,
He used lines I'd never heard before as he pitched his woo.
He sounded like he'd been there before, I could hear every word he said,
As I sat just one stall over, there in the restaurant's Head.

I hope 'Deer's story doesn't upset you nearly as much as it did me.
I wasn't expecting what I heard as I sat there in my grief.
I knew 'Deer was on a cell phone, its volume was set at MAX,
And I could hear the other party's voice - IT SOUNDED LIKE TOERAG'S!

heh - ol' 'Deer AND Toerag in one poem - a nice bit of writing if I do say so myself

Well you know what they say, practice makes perfect and this was very close. I'm sure he and Toe enjoyed your poem. I know I did.

I can see it now - a forum
for the likes of just you 3
battling wits in poetry
as cute as you can be.

Would you sell us tickets
or would the show be free?
Tell you what, if your selling tickets,
please save some for me?

You guys have invented a new type of toilet poetry that rocks!

Happy New Year - you done good 2 with one blow!

I figure, after this poem, if 'Deer doesn't have a tail already, he'll likely grow one so he can tuck it between his legs and slink off to lick his wounds.  heh

So that's why Deer's mind is wandering off lately

Boy do I need pepsi and popcorn tonight.

Great write John, that'll teach them.

Your poetry is going to pot! Toerag and I don't communicate by cellphone. We still use the Captain America decoder rings we got from sending in Ovaltine labels.

Just don't have enough sense to stay down, do ya? An en-deer-ing trait. That's what I like about you - unlike that slug Toerag that heads for the hills when the real men show up.

Nice work, barnacle bum
