yup, I’m a priceless baboon. I suppose.
happily watching the mermaids play.
what else can a monkey do?
heavy with the crap she had swallowed and
fortunate that she hadn’t made it to the top first

she’d rather be known as a baboon than……
a whore?

there’s no forgetting how her hair
became hissing serpents; how a
once young beautiful woman becomes
a nasty mother- -

she is all that

she waits for nightfall, so that her eyes
do not see and her tongue does not taste
the birth of fish’s tail upon the salt wind
in which she let herself be touched
long ago
over the rolling rocks of the lighthouse
wrapped in maritime night
where legends were wetted by milk-like lips
and drowned by jilted brides

"I can't believe
I've lost the very best of me"

Natalie Merchant

Maree...I feel heat coming from this...anger and passion and more...so well wrapped in feeling.

The depth...of the write,
and of the seas...
spill over.

Well done, Maree.

(big angel hugs) Yay! This is such a wonderfully powerful saga, sweet friend, such agony, regret and passion filling this chapter, waiting for the waves to rejuvenate! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, I send koala hugs down under your way, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Maree, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
