.

.

I know this place
of in - between
Of what's to come
and what should
have been~
That time in space
where I ask myself
why didn't I?
And laugh out loud
when I would
rather cry~
I've been here before
but the pain
was worse~
I bravely hummed
a hymn
over a stifled
curse~
I remember the point
of no return~
Where I could have
jammed on the brakes
But merely
crashed and burned~
So here I sit
in a room with
a window
but
no door
Abandoned thoughts
drift to ceiling~
My feet firm
on the floor.
I
know
this
place...

Did you know, that just today,
I read somewhere that humming
is very good for one...

and I believe that is, very much so!

I read this twice before responding just because I liked it so much. Good candince good flow and beautifully expressed emotion. Definitly going in my library, thanks for the read.

Chris~  I know that place too...I just try to be careful not to lock myself in, or back myself into a corner I can't get out of.   Believe me, I've come close a time or two.

Life is an ongoing process for sure!

You wrote this awful nice, I literally felt every word.

Take care sweet poetess~

It is our past trials,  those moments we
want time to take us back to...that we might
be given one more chance to erase and perhaps
make it right...  Those moments are the ones
we fight...when in reality...we should only
laugh at them...and learn the valuable
lesson they have given us...

Beautiful write dear lady,  very much from
within you...thanx for sharing these emotions
with us.

Oh Chris...do I know this.  Well written, my friend.  And you know what Mag said?  He's right.  I always try to look for the lessons, although in this month's trials, the lessons remained quite undiscernable.  I rest assured, I will have ah-ha moment regarding them, however.

Excellent!

I know that place, too.  You have been able to share it, and you've worded it so well that we can identify with it.  Best wishes to you in the New Year.  ~K~

Fascinating piece, extremely befitting the photo and that "in-between" place.

Chris, I must have overlooked this one before.  I know this place all too well.  I call it the 'pause' in the cycle of life.  I really enjoy reading your writing and this one is no exception!  ......jo

(big angel hugs) I know this place ever so well, dearest friend, where regrets, also-ran intentions and memories are stored, but also laughter in a jar you can always bring out when you need it, yay! God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Chris, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
