That wily 'Deer has been on the offense, Waiting for his chance to attack. I'm not worried about his intelligence; I'm worried about his lack. He's been known to be often as coarse, As a million monkeys typing. Which seems to be the only source, Of all the poetry he's been hyping. Sometimes he solicits help from old Toe, As if that scalawag could offer advice. 'Deer hesitates to use what wits he owns, But using more than half would sometimes be nice. But don't you fear, all of you fans of mine, I've been vicioiusly attacked by 'Deer before. He scathingly assaults me with poems that don't rhyme, As you beg him to write no more. "On the other hand," as Tevye would say, 'Deer can be charming and sweet. I know it doesn't happen every day, But sometimes every week. He's blithe and he's glib, with just a touch Of class in his responses to me. Although sometimes, it's almost too much, And that's why I need you to see: I'm not the ogre he insists are my ways, I'm a compassionate and wonderful guy. It's Toerag who is all the things 'Deer says, So it's Toe who should be despised! Heh - That'll put both those rascals in their place, and all the lovely poet ladies in here will feel sorry for me and start swooning over my poetry. Another stroke of pure genious. Actually, Ethel - I have written some romantic poems. You'll have to sift through my poetry to find them, but they are there. Try the SmartSearch feature in the Archives. heh - what a shameless promotion, and I might get away with it! |
