I've Heard Whispers
~*Marge Tindal*~

I've heard whispers of a Babe,
born unto us this night.
The stories meet me on the hills,
glowing from the light.

They tell me that He was born,
in a stable in Bethlehem.
The Babe of whom they speak,
have you seen Him, my friend ?

I go from place to place
I cannot find the Babe.
Tell me, please, have you seen Him ?
In swaddling clothes he lays.

I have gifts to bring
on this Christmas day,
I want to kneel at His feet
so that He might hear me pray.

I look, I seek, I ask the path.
It's more than I can bear.
They smile at me and shake their heads
and say they know not where.

I travel the weary darkness,
this night has been the worst.
Tell Him I am seeking Him,
if you should meet Him first.

~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost,
the spirit rejoices over what it has left.

Nicely done, Marge....I'm sure God knows you are seeking Him, and He is here. Good work!

P.S. Betcha Ms. Delaney is really excited about Santa this year. How I wish we could see her face Christmas morn.
