My
Little
Tree is special
It's with me all the time
Only two ball ornaments
Which works for me just fine
There's only just one present
At the bottom of my tree
You can shake it and unwrap it
and then you'll just find it's me
I'd like just one more "ornament"
I look for one each day
An "Angel" for the top of it
To
"delight"
me
every way

I'm standing in a big lineup,
But there's a huge grin upon my face.
Were all waiting to decorate Toerag's tree,
Tons of people here, hope there's space?

They say his tree is so darn big,
People lined up at dawn today ...
But wouldn't you know it, we couldn't see,
'Cause Toerag's modesty got in the way!

Merry Christmas Toerag, and thanks for all the laughs this year!

Happy Holidays
Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin

Loved the poem and the effect! well done!

The only thing I found under my Christmas tree was about 10,000 needles and a dead woodworm!!!!

I heard about your little tree.
It isn't very big.
If it were any smaller
It would just be called a twig!

It's true that it's an evergreen
From mold, I would suppose.
Why anyone would care to
Decorate it, heaven knows.

It only gets used once a year
And then just for one night.
A drooping tree on CHristmas
Won't cause screams of delight.

So, Toe, enjoy your Christmas tree
But next time try a pine.
The maids enjoy a tree that stands
Both straight and tall....like mine

This Christmas present we've been given,
By Toerag and Balladeer.,
Is the kind of gift that keeps on livin',
Throughout the months and year.

It is the gift of laughter and mirth
As these scalawags set to pen,
Their wisdom and humor, all their worth,
From two of the finest men.

The poem above, penned by Toe,
Is classic rascal at it's best.
'Deer's rejoinder, no less though,
Brings laughter from his jest.

Merry Christmas, you two scalawags.

BTW - The other poems were wonderful, too.  Like small Christmas presents I get to open early.

Oh Christmas tree
Oh Christmas tree
Please come and delight me

Poor Toe’s tree doesn’t seem
To have the size to fit
So I might have to call ‘Deer
And give his tree a sit

(Hey, it’s Christmas Eve and I don’t have a tree yet and I have cathedral ceilings so I need something big!)

You unrepentent shameful creature! You made me laugh at this.  And then Balladeer's reply was no less scandalous! The two of you!

Hey Susan! Come on by, my girl.
That means the world to me.
Cathedral ceilings? Sure, why not?
They are my specialty!!

I won't go into detail about
How often I've been praised
But, when I float down the river
On my back
The drawbridge must be raised!!

So come on down - I'll tell you what
On top I'll place a star
And you can follow the glowing light
From anywhere you are.

We'll open gifts and dring egg-nog
And sing some solemn hymns.
You feel completely satisfied
When you're beneath my limbs

ROTFLMAO at this thread.
It's a good thing I didn't have a hot cup of java in my hand when I read Balladeer's replies.
Now I understand what happened to that drawbridge over the ole Miss!!!

Ahum...I'm too late for the party, I fear.

Geesh, and I decided I didn't want a X-mas tree this year. Boy was I wrong.

All trees sold out I guess? Damn!
