Winter Arrives? gray as far as one’s eye can see that’s what the sky looks like to me a solid mass with nuances of white fluff it makes one wonder just what is that stuff generic cotton candy dusted with snow what causes its timbre its slightest of glow there’s not been more quiet in a morn of this type the nakedest trees reach for the highest of height twin “C’s” with a middle flit and float over branches that resemble thin fingers’ calisthenic stretches December’s the time of year we all know If it weren’t for the warm I’m quite sure it would snow. ©December 22, 2003 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
