It is the nature of remembrance.

Seasons yield to a continuation of what is
now...and what is simply bound to
be.

There is no clinging to the fruits of
yesterdays fall.

Winter comes to everything.

And everything comes to a new
born spring.

It is the whole of our delight.

With never a moment spared to
doubt -

We turn towards the cold.

It is winter now...and all is right
in our world.

Everything has a season; everything lives and dies; everything is reborn anew... nothing lasts forever, yet nothing truly dies.

So embrace the cold; it is here now... and remember it when the warmth of spring returns... and appreciate spring even more, with the memory of winter lingering still.
When it is hot, you long for the crisp coolness of winter's kiss upon your face. When it is cold, you dream of the soft caress of the sun on skin. Without this longing, you can't truly appreciate what you have.

Beautiful winter song... wise and profound words. Thank you for sharing such a delicately powerful poem.
