the chains of earth
are loosed
the seal of heavens
broken
incessant beep
where once was silence
the birth of a race
age of wonder
age of fear

Ah, your riddles...
ok, relieve my poor mind...

Raph, like Karilea, I'm wondering what or
who was born in my birth month. My birthday
is on October 22nd.

...and do you still wonder

"incessant beep
where once was silence"

I find that thought so bizarre.  Just this 'beep' echoing through space...
Very cool write Raph!

Thank you for reading everyone, yes sputnik is the correct answer. The little satellite that launched the space race also as heightened cold war hysteria and the arms race

Ah Yes... I remeber the nuclear tuck spawned by this little 'lite.

Wrap your arms around your knees,
Place your head between your knees,
and kiss your butt goodbye,

is what they used to tell us.

Good recall and good poem.
