Enter the bowels of a sphynx walk back into another time trace snow tracks of a lynx play the tune of a desert mime. The great sphynx face does not whimper a sound its body was discovered in the form of a mound that the sands of time had blown over its shape left the present day face exposed to the nape. what could have lain beneath Nile sands or had been strained by Napolean's bands? we're left with the thought of a temple beneath and a chamber mystery beneath its fore-feet... What I know of the ancients is what we're told relics of antiquity have long been sold, I am discontent at the cover-up of monumental rapes a feline body is shrouded by an ancient black drape. Mysterious monument you have survived the ages monumental mystery you have dodged the sages. © Copyright 2003 ecrivan [This message has been edited by wordwizard (11-06-2003 12:11 AM).] |

Oh, this is ever cool... I loved how you played with these words.... I have watched too much Discovery Channel not to know what you are talking about in this poem... but the way you riddled it and shaped it.... it was wonderful!!! Fantastic Write....this one find my library. Sherry PS. guesses are that it is over 10,000 years old and weathered not by the desert winds and sand, but by the falling of floods of water over eons..... a relic from a time that predates the Egyptian Civilization by 5,000 years!
