Something unpseakable took my time.
Something I feel you won't understand.

I was so absorbed - pursued  - imprisoned
by my experiences that I did not seek your
beauty anymore to fill

this emptiness.

It's cold.  My love is nearly frozen.
Unlike a wilderness of ice or shy mountains
glistening, baked in sunlight.

Rather like the derelict wandering the
littered streets trading shoes and coat
for a needle.

I'm the needle.  I get warm inside the skin
and cold discarded on the pavement.

People love and sek me but what they
really want is an unspeakable warmth.

So they settle for needles.  Paper sunsets.
Linoleum embraces and caricatures of love.

As if life were a courtroom with a judge
and a jury.

A jury sequestered to be swift.

A coliseum of gladiators is life.

Silent gladiators with strong strokes
of justice which takes time and
they take things I feel you won't
understand.

Now when my eyes are looked into
one can spell darkness and enunciate light.

And in my dreams of madness and reality
full of dreams I can be silent as
a gladiator because I care for your touch
so absolutely that my love is in
danger of frost.

And in cold danger I might never
see another shy mountain baked...

in sunlight.  Glistening.

a stark write... that conveys much. Strong images... that only add to the stark feel of it all...

I noticed a couple of times in this write you said "I don't think you'd understand" I hope you at least told her. Sometimes I think it's human to think what our reaction would be is what another persons reaction would be, too. I just don't think that's true. I only said this because it's VERY close to home for me. I hope you don't mind my thoughts. I think some are accusing that I think I'm missus wisdom..I just say what's on my mind. If I have offended, or seemed condescending then please excuse, and forgive the comment. I just believe what I said is true, and it's happened to me, and I know how it affected my life in very sad ways. Maybe it's not as unspeakable as you think That is all. Thanks for sharing this.
