Dog In The Sun In the sun now sleep, And wag awake when they come home. Dogs remember, see through young eyes, Running rabbits through the wheat And later crossing to the pasture spring, Wading, drinking, turning home. Did you catch them? Does it matter? Dogs know not to question dreams. The chasing would be pain now, Rather drowse in sunshine than to run Through stubble fields, the places too well known, While rabbits lope ahead and pausing, turn And run again. Sleep now. Sleep till they come home, And dream of wheat. Repost, from Reflections....because I love Larry Allen's sparkling response to it /pip/Forum82/HTML/000574.html ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

I remember when you posted this... remember thinking you were a poet to watch... for while it's impossible to predict what will come next from your pen... it's a guarantee it's worth waiting for. *S* I can't wait to get my book... thanks for reposting this preview of coming attractions! *S* |

My puppy is sleeping now, once in awhile she lets out a little woof maybe she is chasing a rabbit across that open field. Good one. Bon-Bon ![]() |
