Make shift housing
Nothing to lose
Just play
And hope to survive til the next day

Perhaps its stupidity
Maybe insanity
Who cares
Its what i love
And that says alot

Split wires bad connect
Busted speakers, just do it
Cold and poor, can't take anymore
And do any how

Life is life and
The things that go with it
Are choice standard
For better or for worse
Til death do us part

Long trips an empty road
Collide and flat
Educated but still
Remain insane

a trickle of music from a well
let it spill and roar like hell!

somewhat abstract beyond my comprehension, though I did like it.  Thankfully "til death do us part."  A good, interesting write.  Peace, Joe

Keep playing your guitar and writing your words of poetry and turn those words into lyrics to a song that will hit the charts.
Play on
See Ya

We live our lives by choices and by choice....and usually with almost nothing that can substitute for a map.

But I read once of a psychological study in which people were placed in a strange city with the goal of reaching a specific destination, and given a map to guide them -- a map of a different city. They always got to where they needed to go.

Hmm? I was just thinkin' if this is insane I kinda like it...seems it still has it's staid course of direction, and there's lots to be said about knowing where you're going even it's not necessarily where you want to go. At least you still know.
Love,

agh, i feel it....you write my soul out in little blue pages...i think you're amazing, like cheddar

and even when everything was wrong, and we were mad at the world, it was still beautiful.

Thank you everybody.  This poem came about while I was pondering the point that a guitar could probably be seen as a universal symbol of poverty.  Lots  of people try to be in bands and go for the bigtime and spend their entire life trying, but never actually succeed.  I personally dont care if it makes me poor the rest of my life.  Guitar is awesome.
Thanx again.

(big hugggsssssss) Pablo Picasso's "The Old Guitarist" IMMEDIATELY came to my mind reading this, and I agree with you about the guitar standing as a symbol of a broken man's melody tuned to hope, dearest friend, I too am a guitarist and I am beginning to seek out record labels because I believe you never know until you try and trying is its own reward and adventure and I'm about adventure! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is deeply compassionate, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Craig, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
