Everything breaks to the false grip that holds it for a deeper sense of love. All that binds is meant to kill. I have died a meaningless death to the slight of your hands. Killed by the mental grasp of the image you protect. I was more than you could ever hope to own. Yet I am nothing now...and still you wish to feel me burn. So I will be smoke to the fire that burns to your touch. You can have my ashes strewn to the winds of our bitter discontent. I will find my answers in the breeze. As you will find yours...in the empty hands I leave behind. [This message has been edited by Ericc (11-22-2003 11:09 AM).] |

My dear Eric... You can always see to the center of my soul and find the words I need to say, but cannot form of my own free will. Thank you for knowing me and for singing the songs I need to hear. Love and Light...jc This I know as Truth...we are all Beings of Light. |

Wow, baby... that is powerful and stirring... so very desperately dark, painful, yearning for release... and you have set it free; given it birth- confronted it, acknowledged it, and allowed it life. Such a vortex of blackness that causes a soul to gravitate if it gets too close... and yet... a light shines weakly within the eye of the storm... and you are the one to harness it. And you share it with the world. I can feel in your words the intense pain and brillant sadness that permeates each rich and profound word. I can taste and savor its bittersweetness. We can choose to learn and breathe through such pain... or drown ourselves in it. You are ever so incredibly wise of mind and soul. You are as good lifting the spirits of conscience as you are casting light upon the shadows we are always so fearful of facing. Without the contrast of the darkness, we fail to truly see the Light. Haunting, heavy beauty... thank you for exorcising such darkly beautiful demons. Thank you... I love you, Moca [This message has been edited by cinnamongirl (11-22-2003 12:15 PM).] |

The saddest part about things like this is most people really do try their hardest to make it work. Makes you wonder why we keep searching in the face of all we go through. Love is a driving force that can't be silenced, that is for sure. It may be quieted for a while, but never slienced all together. Love, Terri~ [This message has been edited by SharaRose (11-22-2003 04:59 PM).] |

powerful stuff, never read you before, but im glad i stopped in, see you around joy has its own justice. and dreams are languid and lawless. and everything bows to beauty, when it's fierce and when it's flawless... |

Eric, this is different from what you usually write, but still very passionate and touching. You are an excellent writer, my friend. Hugs Ethel |

Dear Eric, as you refer here to the Buddhist wisdom, before answering your poem I read a few enlightening lines about The Second Noble Truth. Thank you for always stirring the wish to KNOW more. In this powerful poem you seem to identify with the pain many of us often happen to cope with. By making it yours and by sharing your innermost vision you offer a way out of darkness. I think you have shown traits of the saints by doing so. Waters running deeper and deeper .... I love you. Margherita |
