Gently, an ocean breeze tickling eyes blue as a tear wells...as she wonders.. Will he? Gently, a swell rises the bow, as salt spray tickles a stubbled face...as he wonders.... Will she? As waves do wash a windward shore, as mountains form behind. as winds do sway the mighty trees, a love does grain the mind. For of the night, the darkened night, a sailor sails the blue. In search of gold on sail born flight, a lover ever true. Gently, the skies caress the eyes, a northern course is set. His mind behind, in want of her...this love he’ll not forget. For of a day, another day, upon that windward shore he swore to her, a love pristine, to love her evermore. To sail the sea from port to port and stand before the main His heart would stay of her love true, until they meet again |
