By the glint of a sodium light
through a hint of nocturnal flight
high heels click onto a pavement post
a seducer flicks her fag to a host...

By the light of a moon slice or sliver
briskness causes an autumn night's quiver
through the might of an age old profession
witness eyes capture a lady's regression...

Was she picked up on her last run
this her last turf..excuse the pun
most return to their lamp-post for gents the next day
others are tossed into ditches from their talons of prey

A mural goes up to remember their lives
some ladies continue to please past five
some men drive away with facelessgrins
anyone to account for the murderous sins?

Very sad, yet I am afraid very true write of a lonely, hazardous way of life. Chris
