This came from a recent conversation, so I suppose the challenge will be to see if the other person recognizes it.

Slipped and fell
to the depths of thee
unable to forget--
baffled by your plea
broken heart may mend
only time will tell
really doesn’t matter--
now tolls the wedding bell

Help me understand
ease this troubled mind
allow my soul to mend
release the ties that bind
then I may love again

loner- thanks for reading, I'm glad you enjoyed.

Susan- Oh, you don't? Do you have any idea how much I enjoy playing email tag? It gives me something to look forward to in an otherwise mundane day. I should be thanking you for the inspiration, it's been weeks since I've been able to goad Matilda out of hiding!

Lauren- I'm not sure, but I hope so. You know how it is with me...on again, off again.

Dixie- thanks for the read!
