Stripped of all vanity,
without the pretty window dressing,
she stands defenseless,
a winter tree,
open to the heartless storms
that may silence or bless her
come the spring.

Nude before you,twisted and ugly,
she risks all, to expose you too,
seeking the wisdom of your eyes
to unveil her mask of dysfunction,
finding your own beauty
within her core.
