{And the wind speaks} I know you hear the lonely sighs of night ageless; casting shadows from the moon I listened, always listened hoping to know, learn more of wisdom you might offer from broken tree tops on the edge of air-- sweeping the stars to capture again jewels lost from heaven emeralds from earths treasure given as soft offering and unknown depths of eyes seeking to feel anything again… still, daylight finds me reaching for traces of each chamber touched from your fingers -music awakes my escape in gentle tears .... Would he see? I wonder if he noticed the glass caught in sunlight; In a reflection you lifted me-- held me-- My palms touched with feeling; the canvas When the world is quiet I hear you bending tones among angels where all words of hope lie A sanctuary: Shoulders, shrouded in veils of white laced in forms of fragile breaths inhaling rain, exhaling darkness releasing the spirit: I have lived inside your vision uncoiling all threads -- watching light slip, sink among trees weaving through fog settling slowly into the sifts of earth .... Midnight will find me once again haunting the rain for one touch of your soaked lips a memory of dreams that still ache come closer so that my heart may be still this dance before me ~~**~~ {Greatly inspired, and muse dedicated} ~~**~~ I had a dream last night you came to me on silver wings of light I flew away with you in painted sky Was it real Is it what you see, touch or feel [This message has been edited by Greeneyes (11-19-2003 05:51 PM).] |

For what its worth Lauren, I was so deeply touched by this poem, that I have read it a few times. I think inasmuch as you always have the right words woven into your silk, it seems to me to be sequence in which your poem enfolds that gets to me mostly. I hardly had time to catch my breath with this piece for fear I might miss one word. Try to make time to listen to |

Lauren, this ache is so haunting...I feel as if I know this and you because of a particular piece of your work that has still to leave me since I read of it last week. Your emotions are so clear in your images. A wonderful write, my friend. Patricia |

Again Greeneyes convenes her class: "Mastery Of Verse" I'll sit as close to the blackboard as decorum will allow. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Would he see? I wonder if he noticed the glass caught in sunlight; In a reflection you lifted me-- held me-- I think he might just do that...who could miss that beauty? |

This poem is a thing of beauty and was a delight to read. Wow! What a lucky muse you have! Have a great day, Lauren. "If this grand panorama before me is what you call God...then God is not dead." |

Though my soul may sit in darkness, It will arise in perfect light. I have loved the stars too fondly To be fearful of the night". |
