It is the raw power of the nakedness of humanity- the beauty of companionship and the willingness to face conflict and pain with Blood and courage and toil It is of heroes, and lovers, and warriors and the weak tender warriors who never stop and iron maidens who dream and fight It is of ignorance and innocence and wisdom and weakness and strength This tugs at the human heart The heart that longs for a depth to life The heart that longs for goodness and valor in this world The heart that longs for man to be at peace And Wickedness to be stilled, thwarted, erased So have you touched us Mr. Tolkien So have you pulled at our innards So have you caused us to dream |
