How beautiful the rose how fitting its image of truest love As I am left alone to my thoughts to ponder truer the phrase becomes Perfect flower swaying In morning breeze Pleasantry for all to see Ripped from earth From root From womb Neatly displayed Quickly snatched up by Husbands for wives Boy for girl Predator for prey For it’s the “thought” that counts or is it? The artificial just below the sentiment bothers me so This object of untouched elegant loveliness violated raped now your symbol of unbridled affection For most merely means to an end to what fortune lies just beneath her skirt dead flower exchanged for desire forgotten by tomorrow Clearer still how the rose once admired thrown in old vase quickly fades as so with adoration built on such ignorance I feel sick plagued so many roses departed for such false emotion never again to be enjoyed the many chances at love dead at infancy for foolish touch Looking at the rose garden instead of picking one I stand back admiring its splendor symbolism Truth strangely changed now that it means much more to me. |

This is one of your best and I agree with every word....but, of course you presented it far eloquently than I ever could. This is a keeper Melissa~ Intellectually I know that Canada is no better than any other country. Emotionally I KNOW that Canada is the best country in the world! |

"Clearer still how the rose once admired thrown in old vase quickly fades as so with adoration built on such ignorance" Nice. Insightful. |

This happens to be my maiden name and wranx's last name. ROSE. Both my girls have the middle name rose. "From root,From womb" says it best to me. My rose's will only bloom. Now, I see your point in this write, but I couldn't help but take it personally. How could you know? |
