The moon is hungover, drunk with excess working overtime, a mere whisper in the sun's opening siloloquy, worn as an overused mantra, a voyeur of secret affairs, as fly by night lovers pine away, parked, beneath its glow, sneaking in between the fatfaced clouds, one of the same in color, almost morphing until i spot its chalk white signature, knocked out now, like a younger lover that thought he could keep up, but didn't, worn and wanning from poetric catharsis, used and abused from centuries of bards, the morning after moon is a reminder to a 25 year old bohemian poet, trapped in a mid-aged soccermom's smoking body, that sometimes we just gotta create a bit of our own magic, simply to get by.
