In the garden I was born, On a sunny springtime morn, Through the summer I matured, Kansas sun and wind endured, I made it to September, And the best that I remember, It was on a Saturday, When, alas, was stole away, Ripped right of the stem, By that evil Auntie Em, To the kitchen I was taken, From the garden was forsaken, I was frightened to the core, What did Auntie have in store? OH MY GAWD! THAT’S BOILING WATER, Things were getting much, much hotter, Then was placed inside a jar, With some spices, how bizarre, I was in a pickle then, Nope, I was a pickle then. On a burger on a bun, It really was not fun, When Auntie had her fill, Of a Kansas crispy dill. |
