It's five O'clock in the morning
first night alone's slipped away
the curtains on the open window
flutter as the breeze's play
I stare out at the dim lit street
gazing through the falling rain
as I sit here thinkin why we
said good-bye yesterday.

Chorus:
we got caught up in each other
wonderin what the future holds
just two lonely souls together
hiding in each others hope
searching for the magic feeling
they call one and only love
we fooled ourselves believing
we knew what forever was...

In two more hours I leave this room
fade into the working day
I'll see you around sometime
but things'll never be the same
Still I wish I could hold you now
one more time to ease the pain
cause this emptiness I must confess
has filled my heart again.

Chorus:
we got caught up in each other
wonderin what the future holds
just two lonely souls together
hiding in each others hope
searching for that magic feeling
they call one and only love
we fooled ourselves believing
we knew what forever was

Good morning Ethome.  I heard your song, came in to see, and to wish you a wonderful Sunday.

I loved this. It's such a forgiving set of words put together. Just a look back but not with angry words, but with an endearing thought of the other. Sometimes it doesn't always work out, but it's good to leave with a gentle thought of what used to be. Lovely, lovely outlook!!! Sending a hug. I know this is hurtful, but at least you can remember with kindness. How wonderful is that!
Love,
Terri~

I liked this one...
I guess the perspective must rule the thought
I believe in forever...it's the indelible mark on the heart...with or without

Eric, this is close to the heart for me just now. Sometimes I wonder was it the right decision. Can we go back or do we move on. Don't mind me, I'm rambling. Just know that this touched me.
