Of Life I watched as the limbs severed, my glasses safety fogged, sweating away memories of sweeter times. I prepare to burn, soapstone and cast iron cleared of accents and ashes from years ago, when fear entered the mind and all warming halted. The cold fills the aloneness of reflections wanted to lick away the shivering, to glow inward and release the scent of a warmer time. It was my tree of life, of hope and fantasy now to be a temperate fill of warmth, a necessity leaving me with words of poetry to watch as the flames touch me with the missing. M "Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less." |

Thanks EV2..I finally got half the tree that has died by the hands of the gas company, cut down and have been busy sawing it into sizeable pieces for my woodstove that I haven't used in 8 years(my neighbors had a house fire back then and it worried me into non-use of the stove) With the cost of heat up, I have decided to begin using it again...besides I have plenty of wood now. Thanks Sy, it will be a warm year~~ M |

Thanks Patricia...the tree was an inspiration for many of my first poems... especially those of love. I still have another half to cut down...but it will bring me warmth this winter. hugss M |
