It's eight o'clock on a Saturday
The weekend is moving along
We sit at our screens in this latter day
For the poet may send us his song

We live in a world filled with loneliness
Together but always apart
And we read this to ease all our only ness
In sharing he opens our heart

He writes us a tale he's the poet man
He writes of desire and fear
In penning those words he does what he can
To help us to feel that we draw near

For we live in a time without harmony
Bad news collects in our soul
But he writes in the words of our tragedy
And weaves them to make us more whole

And he joins one and all in a symphony
That shows us the rhythm of time
As he holds one and all in a tympani
That beats through the breath of all rhyme

Oh la, la, la, la, la, la

We are gathered together to read our fate
Each at our screens one by one
And he shows us of hate - how to get a mate
And we listen till his song is done

He writes us a tale he's the poet man
He writes of desire and fear
In penning those words he does what he can
To help us to feel that we draw near

And he writes us of hope and of mystery
Tell us the tales of our dreams
To teach us the future through history
Tell us life's not what it seems

We sit at our screens with our solitude
And he writes the words of our song
Gathering together our attitude
To make a new world that is strong

Oh la, la, la, la, la, la

He writes us a tale he's the poet man
He writes of desire and fear
In penning those words he does what he can
To help us to feel that we draw near

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

(smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is absolutely beautiful, I love songwriting and the refrain is perfect for a chorus to a wonderful piano ballad or ragtime jingle! (kiss on cheek) I love it, sweet friend, rock on, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Beloved one, why beloved one? What have I ever one to deserve this? Its too bad that your writing is superior in every way, but to write this that made me sing is simply not fair. After all beloved you’ve heard me sing, you know what torture it is, and you can’t deny it I saw you cover your ears and wince more than once.

Okay enough of my complaints, this is splendiferous and deserves to be given a pride of place in my Keth pieces. Into my library with you beloved, and you are utterly amazing.

Love you always

Kethry,
you're the best! This is fantastic-one of my favorite songs changed around so I can relate to it! Astounding and all those other superlatives I'm too lazy to think of!
