From Ice to Water

I’ve melted Ice to water
And the water into mist
And the mist has turned to clear
And has chained a dogma’s fear.

A saga of rims and purge
That sailed me through a sea of dirge
And though I calked the boat with rhyme
I could not seal the leak of time.

It wore me down to skin and bone
The passage, of I alone
A trip upon a sphere of coal
Burning for an endless goal

We seek the core of what we are
A firefly or shining star
Upon a sea’s eternity
In hopes to find tranquility

And what I see is nothingness
A blessing I would say, no less.

Good one Sy...reminded me of how if we didn't have those never ending goals...my goodness, where would we be and what a boaring life, not?  This was an awesome poem this morning...thank you for writing and sharing.

And as for your comment to one of my poems yesterday, I'm still climbing to...seems like something always pokes and prods you back down again...just to keep my attention focused, to let me know..."hey, kid, you've still got much learnin to do"...and you ain't seen nothin yet...that annoying little voice, hehehehhehe and here I thought I knew all there was to know....hehehhehhee

COULD those verses be any cooler!!!!!
I'm loving the word play and vebiage of this one Sy-babes.

And though I calked the boat with rhyme

I would read your rhymes in a boat ...
read your way cool words with out a coat.
I would read you in the mirrored mist
your rhymes are at the top of my list.

Walk thru fire ... slip side on ice ...
I'll read you once ... I'll read you twice.

(my apologies to Dr. Seuss) LOL

tis too early for green eggs and ham and my poetic spam LOL

"I’ve melted Ice to water
And the water into mist"

~ And turned lead into gold, my dear alchemist!

"We seek the core of what we are
A firefly or shining star"

~ Can  you guess which core I think you have?

Wonderful poem! ~ Wonderful you!

Wonderful poem Seymour. I must say I love the opening line. Makes me start thinking and that always ends up causing me to write. I really like this a lot...gonna have to come back later and read it again.

(smiles) As long as you feel something out of the nothing, nothing is always a blessing! (big hugggsssss) If we can be taught of how to appreciate every subtle moment on the voyage with unconditionality, I'd say harmony will find a way, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Seymour, this piece is simply wondeful. It flows like a woodland brook. Tis mid-afternoon and time for tea and tarts. Join me? Hugs, Chris
