I stand and watch as twenty five
years of my life disappears within minutes.

My heart filling with pain, anger
and grief while watching in horror as
fire and smoke filled the night air.

Alone among strangers I cry,scream
at God asking him why.... How could he take
all I owned, loved away from me.

I feel such intense grief in this piece~

I have known losses that have forever etched a date and a time in my mind ... guess we just don't always understand how God could let our lives be so changed by a tragic event~

I have no answers ... but I sure have questions just like yours~

Memorial Day, eighth grade: my best friend taken. Nope--those dates, we do not forget. But, we do have the memories of better times, ones to eventually smile about...
