I know just what you speak about. I tried to be a friend to one with no strings attached, just be there for them. Year after year I was shown I wasn't good enough to be in their company and I never gave them reason to doubt me until AFTER they kept treating me with blatant out right disrespect as a human being. I would just look past that and try to show I would be there even when they weren't doing right, but it was taken as being weak rather than a gesture of un-conditional heart toward them. All the best to you and your efforts. I know there are some that no matter what you do it's not good enough. It's not easy to go through this kind of hell. sending a hug for what I know is a very hurtful place to dwell in your heart, and mind, and soul.
