What of the past that blows through nights in vanquished servitude?
A simple guide, three-hole punched and indexed in letting blood
There is no welcome encore in the melody that floats enchanted now
Perhaps the sting still echoes if awakened…if by chance a triggered warning
Faint, a carried note that seems to deafen heart beats and cripple chance

I will not listen

Plastic wishes do not fit the framework of the primal forest
That grows within my soul, and takes my eyes and ears to heart
So many favorite songs, all for different reasons play in lilting disarray
Seen differently, and the same in their cloaks of ivory shimmered do
And don’t becomes a protest far too much I think, and I will drink deeply

I will not thirst

What of the courage to remain, and let another close enough to still that pain?
Times two, the arch of love that spirits in fine threads between the seen
And random silences that stall the progress of a journey spelled and blessed
Something different than the past in its arrest, something sacred and alive
Pale, horizons rise in colors that rename a purple gone deep and blue

I will not hunger

Then finally, perhaps the doors are wider, stretching longer into what becomes
We learn about forgiveness and true passion, in a way that somehow sums
And makes a worthy trip along the banks of velvet thoughts and deeds
Where friendship founds the basis for an ever always found oasis
Wine, into the cask that when carried and shared becomes milk and honey

I will not un-love

Kathleen~
I know when I open a presentation by you that I am in for a treat - no exception here~

'friendship founds the basis for an ever always found oasis'

AND -

'I will not un-love'

Equally precious thoughts~

Brava! tossing roses yet again lady.

I love your final resolution--

"I will not un-love."

I never figured that one out either.

(sigh) Yes, un-loving is all I wish no one would do as it cancels out everything that is meaningful! (kiss on cheek) Keep on drinking the milk and honey, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kathleen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
