Soft rain cascading from oak, beech and elm
In a myriad swirl of rainbow waterfall
To carpet the softness of nature’s realm
With grasses sinking in the depths of autumns call

While far above can be heard the hail
Of Vs stretching their wings to their drive to fly
The snows, the blues and Canadians in their sail
Against brilliant blue with sun reflect in God’s sky

Yellow butterflies sipping the last nectar of the bloom
With the small furred animals gathering for what is to come
Mingled with the soft of breeze with its special perfume
And birds do harvest the last sweet of the plum

And in reflect, one can only smile
For all the paths leading to just this time
This one moment to feel, and linger awhile
In the briefness of sight and feel sublime

Logan

It is one thing to have vision, and quite another thing to see. Thank you for sharing what you see in the fall with this beauiful poem.

Very nicely written Logan....I could see
the V of the geese,  the other creatures all
hoarding for that time which sits around
the corner,  waiting to knock chillingly.
Too soon, I might add.

I could see the little squirrels scurrying, and the birds feeding off the plums, and smell the fragrance of the flowers in their last bloom..the V formation, and here it's 84 all week so, it's still very warm here. This was amazing!!! Thanks for sharing this last little touch of the season.

Love,
Terri~

(smiles) Awwwwwwwwww, this made me smile, sweet friend, this had me imagining the beautiful wilderness here in Colorado with hummingbirds and flickers flittering about and deer out on the alpine meadow! (big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Logan, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Comes the time of year that we greet
each day
with a smile, a wave, and we're on
our way...
