The Window

(Looking out Nan’s kitchen window)

What delights have lured this sparrow
To come land upon my tree?
On a twig so small and narrow
Perched in pure simplicity

The perfection of this treasure
That the morning would impart
Is a sight the eye can measure
By the joy within my heart

If my hand could brush the splendor
With the hues of nature’s bliss
Surely would my palette render
A sweet moment such as this

I swear, God put that bird in your way JUST so you could write this poem.  He gave you the perfect words for it, too.

Thank you, Elizabeth!

Your palette renders other impressions, such your mastery of this simple scene.  Thank you.  KJ
