Again my Lord, for in this worthless shell
lies sin of one who has lied, deceived the
throne of thy realm.

As rivers rage in torrents to the sea, so does
a beggar’s shame swelling beneath my breast.

And now my Lord, I kneel before thee, thy hand
grasping the dregs of my life.   Squeeze my Lord,
till the breath of me rests idly against the swell.
Place the iron of cherry’s glow against my skin,
as thee would a common slave.

And when thee hath sated thy hunger
in thy hatred of me, cast me to the pit.
For I am fit for naught but a scurrying
rodent who dines the bones.

I can't tell you how this suited my mood this afternoon... or how the read lightened the sombreness. *S* Excellent!

Barry, I would love to follow the process in your mind...to know how and when your inspiration comes forth.

Magnificent writing.

wow....ahem...sheesh...Somehow seems to have a stately speech feel to it? Wow is all I can think right now. Speechless. The lady bows out of the room, and quietly tip toes out.

I think we torture and punish ourselves more than any higher power ever would..

Barry, someone said this was powerful...and I think that is the one word that decribes it best..

All of you gals and guys are great...

I get a kick of being the humble knight or
one of the King's once faithful servants who
now confesses before the throne....awaiting
the punishment due him...

So....I just zone in and become who or
whatever my mind feels should be...

er, Barry, I think a visit from Anthony Robbins might be in order! You set a good mood here, sir, and filled it with all the right words. Nice work....

It takes alot of humility to write this dear sir...
And sadly your right, for the condition you speak of is what we all face... but you went to the right place

Love this!
