Today and Tomorrow

Will you love me today,
And all of tomorrow?
As so many before you
Have promised.

Will you protect me today,
And all of tomorrow?
Like too many before you
Have assured.

Or will you leave me today,
Before you are sated tomorrow?
As so many before you
Have done.

And will you leave me today,
Before the battle tomorrow?
Like too many before you
Once did.

I like this. The tone is plaintive, but almost resigned.
