~*~*~*~ You were so quick short lived, a dream away from coming true. Shining starlight in my sky for a little while reigning from the clouds. A brief encounter exchanged for a smile easy on my heart. You painted a rainbow then turned down the sun and made me cry. Leaving me without warmth and still I dream, but you're not there. I had so much I wished to give instead it seems a lifetime searching for the words. Blinded by the glare streaking across the double pane revealing my despair. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sorry for all my bluesy woozy poetry of late, I'll write pretty in pink next time. (maybe) |

This is good... kind of abstract, which I like in poetry. You've used a lot of bright images and defaced them with action. I really like the turning down of the sun. Very imaginative shift into what became a poem of gloom in retrospect. A good poem... thank you for sharing it. Parasite Faith is a fine invention |

Lori, I love your poetry, whether it's "bluesey woosey" or "pretty in pink". It all is written from your heart, and that's what matters, my friend. You keep on writing, and I'll keep on reading. Deal?? Heart hugs to you, sweet lady Ethel |

Lori, you just write any old way you want. It's all beauty, though the sad ones do make me hurt right along with you. |

Very pretty, sad little poem. I've been kinda "blusey" myself here lately. Don't sweat it! Love the poem! "The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time" ~James taylor~ |

This one aches, so let's hope tomorrow holds a little more sunshine with maybe just a cloud or two to paint that rainbow on... [This message has been edited by Edder (10-12-2003 01:57 PM).] |

This is beautiful, dear Lori. The sadness and delusion is felt ... this is life and the poet needs to express everything ... I think no one is always on a high! Hugs. Margherita |

BluesSerenade...This poem may be bluesy; but it has a blue beauty to it. I loved the way you wrote this. Spoke to my heart and soul of the loss behind the words. ***Ivy Rose |

You made me realize something when you were apologizing for your bluesy writes of late. Your writes, no matter whether they are blue or pink or orange, need no appologies ~ nor do mine! I was trying to excuse a poem that I had posted today as a "brain fart"! In effect I was appologizing for my ridiculous piece of writing! ~ but that was the place I was in when I wrote it! So be it! lol I felt this poem of yours. It makes me want to give you a great big comforting hug. ~ & btw, it's his loss! You are very special! ~ and you are a woman who is not only beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well. In time, you'll learn to pick the ones worth having! Practice makes perfect! You are just working your way towards Mr. Right! Thanks again for showing me that I should never appologize for my poetry! ~ and that goes for you as well, Dear Poetess! Loving, healing hugs, Linda |

I thought I'd replied to this... but I must have used disappearing ink. *S* Lady... write in whatever shades suit you at that moment... we will read. *S* That you grieve deeply simply means you love fully and without reservation... and I think that's the only kind of love worth giving. *S* Beautiful write. |
