Mother Willow

Oh dear weeping willow
blowing in the wind,
do you have a story to tell?
I shall relax quietly
in your shade
and oh yes, my friend
I will listen well.
Please share with me
all things that you have seen
through out the many days
of your youth.
Speak of those who have
taken shelter here
as they have looked out
o're yon fields

in endless search
of light and truth.

Whisper of lovers
holding hands
as you have danced
upon the breeze...

sometimes I have the feeling
that your vision reaches further
than that which we can see....

Oh Mother Willow
who stands so majestically
held in canvas of rising sun,
share with me
your history...

and I will listen
till day is done.

and Gods Amazing Grace...

I'm a survivor....

~ this verse could stand alone in its beauty, imagery, and message.

--"held in canvas of rising sun" ~ perfection! I will hold that thought whenever I see trees and mountains limned by the light of the sun or moon! Thank you, Donna!

It is wonderful to see that you are up to writing your lovely poetry again!--altho' I have been enjoying your golden oldie posts!

You've been really missed.

Loving, healing hugs,
Linda
