A simple brass key, crudely formed.
Yet....a key to a treasure that men would
die willingly for just one moment of
the unbridled passion restrains by
an iron clasp.

Forged under cloak of darkness, the
master smithy sworn to secrecy against
it ever being taken by one who is not
chosen to savor the spoils.

Kept in a room where the riches of
the kingdom lie. Sealed in a cedar
box, the clasp closed and sealed with
a wax stamp. Quite simply the
most valuable object. Guarded
by chosen men, all Eunuchs who
would never have a desire to
betray the King’s trust...

He, her lover....he knew of this key,
for she had whispered this to him
as he descended the stone walls
from her room in silence and
darkness....Day after day he had
stood there, standing watch beneath
her window. Shivering from the
damp air, the soaking rains, the
horrid conditions that a guard must
endure.

She would stand there at her window.
Combing long silken hair with a
jewel laden brush. Humming a soft
tune, one he had heard many times.
He yearned for the moment to taste
the delicate sweetness of her lips.
To hold and caress the silken curves
of a beautiful woman. To hold
the key. To unlock her treasures
that she might taste love at it’s
finest.

Failure and exposure of this plot
would mean certain death. Driven
by lust..two lovers would risk
their lives to quell their desire.

A plan must come to them,
and until then....dreams shall
keep the coals hot as passion’s
fires burn brightly.

This is great and I'm sure they found a plan to make it happen.

To wait is the key, my friend ...
for such love passion would never end.

    Keep 'em coming, Barry!
