Would You Mind?

....and if I told you, said the real of me,
the truth, I’d sound so weak, so soft, unmanly;
women’s words like “need” and “want”
would make me seem so needy, wanting
show me somehow weak and insufficient—
Would you mind?

I mean, would you mind if I should imply
in some way that my soul’s an empty thing
without you, that it’s so hard to face the world
unless you’re part of me; if it did come to that,
my guard slipped for a moment and I told you—
Would you mind?

I doubt
that you would find
any woman
who wouldn't mind...

sensitivity like that...

Very nice, James...

Beautiful Jamie!
And, no woman would mind..
In fact..I believe most women
love to see the vulnerable side of a man.
I love this piece...well done!

Jamie

I agree with those above...the sensitive side of a man is very appealing...as is this poem!

Ah, Jamie... any woman who would mind that is carved of stone and has no pulse... no heart beats within her. *S*

This is absolutely beautiful! *S*

James - I don't believe she would mind, actually I believe the words would be welcomed...
