On The Outside Looking In Copyright 2003 by: Mark V Sheldon Across the lawn behind the fence where minds had gone to recompense A knotted tree scraped on the pane a melody for the insane The home was dark the wind blew cold the pathway stark and cracked and old The metal bars could not contain the hurt and scars of fear and pain The voices heard as distant cries without a word you realize As memories come flooding in you’re ill at ease for where you’ve been… You CAN make a difference: |

(sigh) And then isn't that why we have memories...to experience the nostalgua and remind ourselves piece-by-piece who we are, on this mission of exploring and collecting and finding relationships and connections between the parts? (big hugggsssssss) This is so well-said, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Mark, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton I don't need no proof when it comes to God and truth |

As memories come flooding in you’re ill at ease for where you’ve been… or ill at ease for where you would be.. either way it works.... nice piece Mark.. the open way it frames a question or perspective lets the reader indeed choose for themselves what it all means to them.. enjoyed |

mytuesdaywishes: Thank you, kindly. A "cure for notalgia"... That's probably the only thing that should remain incureable; as for bad memories... I suppose they serve a purpose as well... Vicky, I'm pleased it resonated with you -- I guess I'm getting into the Halloween spirit a little early this year... Noah: Agreed. As the famous quote states: "No matter where you go -- there you are." Thanks, Froggy. Craig: Such is the beauty and mystery of words and subjectivity. As long as one looks, one shall find, but it could be more than one bargained for... Dixie, I suppose it could... Thank you, Ron. The choice will always remain the reader's... -MVS You CAN make a difference: |

Gemma: A great part is in the realization. Thanks for stopping by. EA, sometimes limitations can be stifling while other times, inspiring... I guess it's all situational and based on perspective. Crystal: Always honored to stimulate, prod, and provoke. -MVS You CAN make a difference: |
