Please put passionate pesto upon my plate,
it's pure poetry for the tongue;
a starving stomach is in need of sate.

Growing sweet basil
upon winter’s windowsill,
is a Chef’s aromatherapy, if you will.

A royal herb, the
ancient Romans believed
it held one’s vows
to a higher standard.

Keat’s Isabella gave it
heady thoughts and fears,
watering it deeply
with sorrow’s tears.

Old English lore claims basil doth
protect against a witches brew,
but I haven’t asked which witch
might know if this is true.

Hindus believe this spice to be
a passport to Paradise,
or so I read while I did study
books on herbal remedies.

so please, put pesto on my plate,
for this passionate palette is always aware
there’s more to life than marinara sauce,
a pasta’s much more common fare.

(smiles) Pesto...and saffron...are two spices I simply have to have in my cuisine! (big hugggssssss) And a whole lot of Tabasco sauce! (giggles) I swear saffron has to be a sice blessed by the Gods if one pinch can flavor an entire meal, God Bless You, I love what you've whipped up here, we al love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Aha, Noah, are you also a gorumet cook? Saffron. What a beautiful color, and exotic flavor.

Mystic, thank you! How nice to have a reply from you.

Q, thanks! and Vicky, smiling at your poetic alliteration reply.

Now, who wants to get together to cook up a Passionate Plateful?
