at end of day,
expectation
long tempered

there is no consolation.

taking comfort
in the hunger.

It is nearly fall.

Soon,
any pretense
of warmth
will be dispelled
by a season
bearing no apology
for it’s chill,

nor asking
any reason for mine.

you seem to sum up well the feelings I have towards winter here...and wrap it quite well around the inner chill..
