Did you wake up feeling queasy this morning?
Or turn on the news, fearing what you might hear?
Did you pause to recall the horrors we felt?
Did you think of the shattered lives we saw?
I did.
Do you look at police and firemen in a new way?
Or look at the safety of your home with apprehension?
Do you look at service veterans and smile at them?
Do you think of US forces far away?
I do.
Will you read of world events with a bit more thoughtfulness?
Or listen to speakers of different cultures with more care?
Will you be thankful for what we enjoy in this country?
Will you clasp your loved ones a little tighter?
I will.

I also did, do, and will...this is a magnificent write, and one of deep feelings, shared by both the writer and reader, my friend...I felt this same exact way today...~S~

Yes...I did and will continue to do so.
Just as I will continue to pray for peace.
Thank you for this dear friend.

In times of war we only really realise what we have.

If your afraid of the dark, then why did you come?

I did. I do--and I will.

This poem struck home--literally.

To Sunnyone and Sunshine too
and ever thoughtful E,
Your words and thoughts are gifts to warm
and move me joyfully.
So Moon Dust, friend, I thank you too.
And 'Angel, ever dear.
Your pause to note my humble phrase
brings me welcome cheer.

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

(big hugggssssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, I will always remember, and I have also always seen our firemen as true heroes, but after 9/11, they are truly more than heroes! (wipes tears) Let us pray we can learn from this tragedy and reach out to one another and listen and respect each other across the world, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ken, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
