I was in the US, in front of my television when those first horrific pictures of 9/11 hit the screen.Today I am in another corner of the world, where such terrorist acts have been happening for decades. But I am surrounded by friends who have great compassion for America's loss on this day, and they have helped me to see that we are not alone...today the world shares our tears

of

blood

From

angel's eyes

No where to hide

and no disguise to

give the world when human

madness rules supreme and bombs

explode in children's dreams and places

never touched by terror wake to find their

fortress undone while the whole world cries as one

The loss too unimaginable and the suffering lingers

Even the heavens look down in pain relived

As once again the Angels cry

their tears of

Blood

Oh my...yes...beautifully said, Sunny.
The lost will never be forgotten and the
tears will never cease to flow.

Hugs to you, lady...

This is absolutely amazing. Keep yourself safe while you are there, and continue to bless us with your great talent.

Thank you Ringo, and yes, I feel safe here in England.  It's a land where acts of horrible violence have been dealt with throughout the centuries, and today, our cousins here share our pain...~S~

Thank you QjQ, and they are sincere feelings of pain, doubt, fear, unanswered questions...even though I am in my adopted homeland, I still have to ask myself how something like that could happen in America...but there are no answers, it's just the changing of the world, it seems...~S~

Oh thank you, Noah for such a lovely reply.  I am an American, born and lived on the West Coast all my life, but moved here to England 2 years ago when I married Music Maker..(John). It has been a good lesson to be here, as I am finding many different cultures that have the experience of how to deal with this kind of tragedy, and they are holding out helping hands.  We as Americans, are one of the few countries in the world who have, until recently, been untouched by terrorism.  That has all changed now, and we would do well to learn from those who have taken a stand against it down through the centuries.  That's just my opinion, Noah, and I am really glad that you came by tonight...~S~

One of the foremost memories that rose above the disaster was the coming together of the poets here in Passions.  E-mails were being sent back and forth, checking on our friends on the East coast, making sure we knew where everyone was that is a regular here in the blue pages.

And when we knew someone who knew someone who knew of one who perished...we wept anew.  It feels as real to me today, as it did, some 730 days ago.

Yes, Karilea, I know that feeling well.  I will never forget the shock and grief that hit me in the face that morning when I turned on the tv.  I thought I was watching a horrible movie, until I realized that it was real, now, and frightening.  All of my family was on the West Coast, but I cried for everyone just the same, because we all had been horribly violated...

Thank you for coming here and sharing your thoughts...I am finding that even though time has passed, I still welcome the sharing with our family here...

Sunny
