I was shivering expressions of distress
Staring out French doors through a garden elegant
A gentleman poet you were, without paper and pen
Embarking from a stairway, I was afraid to climb
Which spiraled carnations, into a dream-like state
Shocking tenderness from some magnetic domain
Your golden soprano voiced, the evening just fine
Enough to balance a perfect scale, pulsing a voltage rhyme
Swirling camaraderie and suckling hope from your eyes
The infer-red glow of your flesh infusing music of daylight
Your fingers diagramed a collection of foresight
Extending your strong and trusting mind to heart
The sheath of life and wonders always found
Right there upon your lips, eternally charged
To each our ideas the quiet sings profoundly enlarged
Where you agree and give me what I embrace
You’re like visiting an old friend, joy unlaced
Fire of feelings exploding from your arms
Sparkling eyes lifting the fog, reaching in swarms
Informing our imaginations to keep on dreaming
Basking within the pleasures of what we are, and yet to be
Interpretations purposely reflective and savored
You’re aromatic essence, sensual and layered
Forming experience in open-eyed verse
A dream wherein we both immerse
Our mysterious image of what is
Where life ultimately affirms our reach
You throw flowers at my feet,
A rocket goes off
In places I’ve yet to know and touch

Lee, this is terrific!
You wove every line into this write
of romance and passion! One favorite:

~0~ Fire of feelings exploding from your arms
Sparkling eyes lifting the fog, reaching in swarms
Informing our imaginations to keep on dreaming ~0~

But, then I enjoyed all of it!

Blessings!

Many thanks sent to you all for reading and commenting on my poem, I greatly appreciate your interests in my work and time and I'm smiling b/c Romantic Hearts comment....many who read my poetry think the same sometimes.  I like to think of my writings as more of a spiritual enlightening rather then the physical...it is something felt deep within....for instance....the following lines which read as such, depicts a person who I've met who thinks and feels as I do, very passionate about nature, his spiritual beliefs in God, a great care for others, his country, and enjoys the same interests, which to me is very important for a relationship to work....compatibility.

To each our ideas the quiet sings profoundly enlarged
Where you agree and give me what I embrace

I hope my work does not come across as errotically charged with a physical intimacy as much as an intimacy with the spiritual....God, insight, awareness, a passion for life, nature, the ocean....a glow from the happiness of others....and a desire to make just a little bit better this place we live in....now, that man will most definately catch my eye and turn my head...and would be well worth his amount in Gold.  smiles and hugs, and thank you always for reading, sharing and also the compliments of your work/poems as well.

I wish I could read and comment on all of your poems, but circumstances has prevented me from that for the time being...right now I cannot, and I'm so sorry for that...forgive me if you will...

In the meantime I will continue to post and read your work and comment when I can...but please don't be hurt if I cannot....

My best to you and to this web site as it is filled with some very talented and caring people....your all very kind, artistic and giving.  Thank you

Have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend..and for those of you on the east coast, batton down the hatches, and God bless you and yours.  Isabelle is on her way.
