To the warm marble is cold though it captured the turn of shoulder the curve of breast and kept it there locked in stone Who would model this the memory of a night half light shaded pale naked back turned but still a reveal.... Such grace would be not mine for I am no artist to chisel into sinew the beauty of one nor a painter to stroke in long brushed tippings the colors of such desire Still she was there and now the memory is mine of somewhere someplace something of me and time... |

LOL.. Hestia... was the Greek Goddess of the hearth and not captured in painting or sculpture as were many of the other Greek Gods. The poem, meant as a tribute to the uncaptured beauty we all see everyday in our own hearth and home... and how we... feel we lack the ability to capture it ourselves in the same way it makes us feel. now..as for doing to you??? obviously..frustrating you in some way... sorry.. ( rubs head and walks off...) |

And an amazing tribute it is, Ron... You have succeeded in capturing the beauty, as well as the feeling, within your verse. Wonderfully penned, poet sir. Hugs, ~Vicky If you judge people, you have no time to love them. |

ROTFLMBO at Susan...what ARE you doing to her, Cpat? I mean, if you're going to suffer a sore noggin, you'd think you'd Stop That! [Don't] /pip/Forum15/HTML/000865.html because you made me remember... [This message has been edited by Sunshine (09-09-2003 04:11 PM).] |
